MonkeyCross #4 in Santa Rosa - MUD FEST!
WOOO WEEE! Its been raining here in NoCal for the past few days and its making for some great cyclocross racing! Some ‘Chain Gang members headed up to Santa Rosa to participate in the last of a series of cross races presented by Monkey Cross. It was a wet and muddy and challenging race (that was a slow way to get around the course). Congrats to Jackie from Box Dog on his 5th Place finish! We all had a great time and thanks to everyone that came out to support! For a taste of what it was like, here is a video from Monkey Cross 2.
New apron from Stanley & Sons
We received a few packages the other day and included was a surprise from my friends Chris and Jess over at Stanley & Sons. A huge thank you to them for sending me my new apron! Super sweet indigo-dyed duck cotton and a leather pocket. Check out their site for super sweet vintage bags and aprons! And here I am trying to look cool wearing it! fail.
SF Bike Coalition’s Winterfest 2010
Hey internets! What are you doing tomorrow? Well if you ride a bike in San Francisco, there is no reason you shouldnt be a part of the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. If you were, you would probably already know about Winterfest happening tomorrow (Sunday, 12/5) at the SOMA Arts building. If youre not already a SFBC member, your tickets may cost a little more than if you were, but included in the cost of your ticket is your annual due to become a member!
There will be tons of stuff to check out and plenty of other bike nerds to socialize with. Included in the sponsors are Rickshaw Bags (which coincidentally you can buy at the ‘Chain) as well as New Belgium Brewery (yay!) There will also be an art show with works for sale, a live auction and a silent auction. We donated a lovely Pashely Princess Sovereign in Buckingham Black for all you classy ladies out there. So! Be on the lookout for Chain Gang members. We hope to be there in numbers and hope to see you there too!
Oh - and dont worry about parking - like all SFBC events theyve taken care of that with complimentary valet parking. Click here for directions.
Rosebud was a bike!
