hello boys!

Guvnor-ing in the Castro
Hello Boys! Been to the Castro lately? Although we here at Citizen Chain are a ways off from thinking about a new location, our bikes are spreading across the city! One has even found its way into prominent display at the Levis Store in the Castro. Dont worry though, you dont HAVE to go to the Castro to see the world famous Guvnor. We still have another in our shop.
bike film festival 09!
today is the day! If you have bike legs and movie eyes then youre in luck! Come on by and check out some films and get your dose of bike culture (if you havnt attended all the other events). Need a schedual? Check out the Bike Film Festival schedual so you can plan to come by. I heard that there is also a bike swap in Dolores around noonish. Unfortunately (for me, fortunate for others) Will and I will be hanging out on Capp street. I will be wrenching (maybe on your bike!) Will will be chatting and selling and my boy Jeff will have a few choice piece from the Loin.
Anima D’Acciaio (Soul of Steel)

Anima D'Acciaio :: Ciocc :: Giovanni Pelizzoli
Woo woo!!! The film festival is going to have a movie on Giovanni Pellizoli! The builder of Ciöcc frames! They wont let me imbed the preview, but you can check it out over here. My Ciöcc track bike is quite possible my Rosebud, but there are still many more rides to be had. I cannot promise I will not fall in love again. I am, just a man. I used to enjoy having a bike whose brand nobody could pronounce. (except for the Italians). But I guess I will be happy when Giovanni receives the recognition he is due. It would appear he has designed some new track bike frame from city trick riding. Sounds intriguing. I should get one and convert my track bike into what she really ought to be! The film was directed by Daniel Leeb of Cinecycle Productions in collaboration with Gorilla Bicycles, for the Bicycle Film Festival 2009.
SF Bike Film Festival 2009
So here it comes! Our annual Bicycle Film Festival! Our buddy Chad *aka Achilles* is riding across the country to celebrate this film festival thing (I know, right? Who gets paid to ride across the country?) Hes riding for 42Below but hes going on the southern route, so he wont be able to show for the SF party-down this weekend!! Check out their twitter here. But really this weekend you should come by and check out some bikes and some movies with bikes in them. If you like bikes, its sure to be a swell time but dont for get about Blonde Redhead performing at the Independent for two nights! But sorry, theyre sold out. But you can still come see bikes and movies about bikes. Rumor has it Sasha will be over on 16th st fixing some bikes on saturday but we shall see.
I love riding in my levis!
Thanks to our friend Michael, Citizen Chain now have a little corner of Union Square to shine in. We have a few NOS bikes on display inside the Levis store in Union Square as well as a Pashley Guvnor spreading the gospel of Rosebud in the Castro. Stop by a shop and check them out!
Rosebud was a bike!
